L LTR Pro Serve
Independent technology consulting

Systems you own, running the way you need them.

LTR Pro Serve helps small businesses and homeowners build and maintain practical technology — server infrastructure, AI-assisted workflows, websites, and local-first home systems that reduce reliance on recurring cloud subscriptions.

Services

Engagements range from one-time setup and consultation to ongoing management. Most work is delivered remotely.

Infrastructure

Server & systems management

Ongoing administration of Linux servers and containerized applications: deployment, updates and patching, monitoring, backup verification, and remote troubleshooting. Suitable for businesses running their own applications without dedicated IT staff.

Automation

AI integration for small business

Practical assessment of where AI genuinely helps your operation — document handling, reporting, data cleanup, and repetitive internal workflows — followed by implementation and training. Includes an honest account of what these tools do not solve.

Web

Website design & project delivery

Website and web application projects delivered in partnership with an established development team. LTR Pro Serve handles scoping, requirements, US-based client communication, and project management through launch.

Networking

Home & small office networking

Network design and configuration: segmentation for guest and IoT devices, wireless coverage planning, remote access, and firewall setup. Consultation and configuration work, delivered remotely or coordinated with a local installer.

Data

Self-hosted storage & backup

Network attached storage and home server setup, automated backup strategy, and local alternatives to subscription cloud services — so your files, photos, and documents live on hardware you control, with a recovery plan that has actually been tested.

Automation

Smart home & local security design

Lighting, entertainment, and home automation design, plus locally recorded camera and security systems that do not depend on a monthly subscription. Includes battery backup and power resilience planning for critical equipment.

Approach

Most technology problems in small businesses and households are not solved by buying more software. They are solved by understanding what already exists, removing what is not earning its place, and making the remainder reliable and documented.

The bias here is toward systems you control. That means data stored on hardware you own where it makes sense, open standards over proprietary lock-in, and recurring subscriptions only where they genuinely beat the alternative. It also means being straightforward when a commercial product is the better answer — not every problem justifies a custom build.

Work is scoped in plain language, with clear expectations about cost, timeline, and what happens after handoff. If something falls outside what LTR Pro Serve can do well, that gets said directly rather than billed for.

Typical engagements

  • One-time audit of an existing network or backup setup
  • Scoping and delivery of a website or web application project
  • Workflow assessment and AI tooling implementation
  • Home network redesign and self-hosted storage build
  • Migration away from recurring cloud subscriptions

About

LTR Pro Serve is an independent consultancy operated by a single practitioner, currently building out its client base. Present work includes ongoing contract management of server infrastructure for a former employer, alongside a long-standing working relationship with a web development team that handles project build-out.

The background is hands-on systems work — servers, networks, storage, and home automation — rather than sales. Engagements are taken selectively so that each client gets real attention, and the scope of any project is agreed before work begins.

Remote engagements are available throughout the United States. Limited local on-site work can be arranged by request.

Hosted services

Subdomains of ltrproserve.com host private, authenticated infrastructure used to operate this business and support client work. This includes vault.ltrproserve.com, a self-hosted password management service (Vaultwarden) used for business and household credential storage. These are access-controlled tools requiring authentication, not public content, and are not intended for general visitors.
